HTML Transit is for electronic publishers who face the same problems as folks who publish on paper--heavy workloads and tight deadlines.

HTML Transit's new template-based architecture automatically generates fully linked Web publications using source files from nearly any word processor. It makes high-volume Web publishing simpler by giving the publisher more control over how the product will appear online. You use one set of source files to format hard copy and online documents; HTML Transit can read word processing files in their native formats. It automatically produces either a single HTML file or an entire hypertext-linked library according to the templates you choose. The program can divide a long document into shorter HTML files to minimize download time, and it automatically generates a master table of contents.

Common Ground Web Publishing System saves time by eliminating the step of rewriting your document in HTML. By converting the document into Common Ground DigitalPaper format, you can have the completed document ready to be viewed on the Web in less than a minute. The Web Publisher system creates an HTML summary page including hypertext table-of-contents links.

Converting the source document to the DigitalPaper format is as easy as printing, and the original document retains its fonts, graphics and layout. Send the completed file to the Web Publisher's WebMaster by e-mail, ftp or your internal network; the WebMaster posts the file for viewing.

With Common Ground's Page-on-Demand technology, a user with a MiniViewer can browse the document online without having to download it.

Process Software has also upgraded its NT Web server. Purveyor WebServer for Windows NT 1.1 supports ODBC and SQL Server, and includes remote administration, a hot-link viewer and Visual Basic support.
